Eduardo Chatagnier

Film-Editor. Filmmaker. Screenwriter. 

Master student in Cinema and Television at University of São Paulo, Bachelor degree at the same university with emphasis in script writing and film editing.

Film editor of several feature movies nationally and internationally awarded such as: Casa (Home), O Chalé é uma Ilha batida de Vento e Chuva (The House is an Island Made of Wind and Rain), The Revolution of The Year and Joaquim.      

 

Eduardo has experience as video editor and script writer in several TV series, working in many different productions in Brazil and Argentina, such as:  Habitar(T) - SESC TV, 13 Canções para entender o Samba - Cinebrasil TV, A Cidade no Brasil- SESC TV,  E-24 - Bandeirantes.

 

He was partner and post-production manager at Meus Russos Produções, in which produced several short films and the feature film Bem Vindos de Novo (Welcome Home Farewell .

 

Directed the short-film Café (Coffee), which was a participant in the competition of the Maringá’s Cinema Festival 2011. Directed several music videos for artists such as Felipe Guimarães and Lê Coelho e os Urubus Malandros. Filmmaker of institutional videos for companies like Multiweb e Guarulhos Comércio de Sucatas S.A.

 

Nowadays he also teaches at AIC - Academia Internacional de Cinema (Cinema’s International Academy)

Berlinale Film Festival 2017

"Joaquim" participated in the Competition of the 67 Berlinale

Festival Latinarab 2014

"The Revolution of the Year" won Best Film Price. This documentary was also screened in the 27 Rencontres de Toulouse

Kinoarte Londrina Shortfilm Festival 2013

The short "Serra do Mar" was awarded the Best Film Editing Price. The same movie also won several Best Film Prices in Brazil and was screened in the Rotterdam Film Festival 2013

Fortaleza University Shortfilm Festival 2011

The short "Zeit to The Geist" was awarded the Best Film Editing Price. The same movie also won several best movie wards in festivals all around the globe

​

T.A.L - Latin American Television Award 2014

The TV series "Habitar(t)" won the Best TV Documentary Series Award and was also nominated in the APCA - Arts Critics Association of São Paulo.
